Hiking di Bukit Saga Ampang (Waterfall)

Difficulty : Easy
Location : Ampang
Trailhead: near Taman Saga

This waterfall is among the famous place in Klang Valley among hikers, so expect some jam and crowded and waiting along the trek especially at part where you need to descend. We took the trail C, planned to start hike a bit early, so we left home at 0615am, reached Ampang area and stopped by at a surau to performed solat first. We proceeded to the trailhead, saw many cars at the end of the road, so we guessed, that must be the trailhead. It is actually near to low cost apartment and construction area for highway project.

Bukit Saga or Apek Hill is just like other places in Malaysia, can't run away from destruction, in the name of development. ..sigh..look at this image from Google Earth, the construction work has started and can you imagine what and how big is the impact or damage will be not only on the soil but the habitat and the ecology.

Did some simple stretching exercise and warm up, walked slowly cos there's one lady who joined us never hike and exercise..so..we need to give her a chance. Just four of us, ladies..I need to be more patience this time with the pace..haha

Bunga senduduk, common wild plants in Malaysia found at the start of the trek.
Selfie of hiking shoes..I need to wait...wait..and then she decided to quit..can't hike anymore..So we let her turn back after just a short 15 minutes hike. It was a good decision, she had stomachache due to no breakfast only had coffee on an empty stomach, no preparation, no exercise..a perfect recipe for disaster but she is wise when she made a decision to just wait at the trailhead.

The trek looks like this, not so bad,..a good training ground I would say. But for a first timer or anyone who are not fit, its quite challenging.

Around 8.30am we finally arrived only at the this peak where there are hammocks and some exercise equipment. There are many trails leading to this peak. Some hikers just stop here and return but we proceed to the waterfall. For a normal trip, from the trailhead to this point should be less than 1 hour but since we have a combination pace in this group..it took more than that.
It feels good to be able to lay down like this on a swinging hammock watching the trees, the bird, the sky, the sun, whatever....Lepas lepak sini dalam 15 minit, kami start ke waterfall.

Best dapat tengok cahaya matahari menembusi celah-celah daun di waktu pagi..refreshing isn't it..

Bila hiking sini, kita akan jumpa few places yang macam ni, so get ready to be wet..its hiking trip anyway..mesti akan kotor.

Its hard to take a good photo here..so many people..

Look at these kids...bestnya mandi air terjunnn...sejukkk...pastu minum kopi O panas..

The waterfall from other angle..we waited here for a while for crowd to disperse, but unfortunately more people are coming..what did we expected..haha..so just lepak here, ate chocolate with feet in the water..so far no PACAT

Trek balik..macam biasa la when you go down, you must go up..hmm...dah puas main air, kena redah trek ni balik..

Masa balik kami ikut Trail A, bad decision but good for knee training especially for those who plan to go to Kinabalu, there are maybe more than 100 steps..we were like asking..ohh..how many more steps..and did not even want to take any photos..

Lepas penat lelah,..akhirnya nampak bumbung rumah orang sekeliling..and there's relieved feel when you see sign of civilisation..hhaha.. from the last step, we saw a small stall selling drinks, hiking pole and bag..bought 100plus..it felt so good..the cold water running through your body on hot sunny day..grrr.. i don't usually do that.
